Motherhood Support

Motherhood has a way of exposing our vulnerabilities, leaving us feeling raw, anxious, confused, and alone. Adjusting to motherhood can be challenging as it involves navigating various physical, emotional, and lifestyle changes. New mothers often grapple with sleep deprivation, hormonal shifts, and the demands of caring for a newborn and/or toddler. Emotional challenges such as postpartum disorders, self-doubt, and identity adjustments are expected. Balancing new responsibilities, maintaining a sense of self, and coping with social expectations can contribute to the complex landscape of adapting to motherhood.

Support from partners, therapists, and the broader community is crucial in easing the transition. But the transition to motherhood doesn’t stop here. Motherhood presents distinct challenges across various stages: pregnancy, postpartum, infancy, toddlerhood, school age, teenage years, and the empty nest period. Throughout these stages, mothers may also face societal pressures, career challenges, relationship challenges, and the ongoing need to balance personal and family needs, contributing to the dynamic and evolving nature of the motherhood experience.

My goal is to support women navigating the challenges of motherhood regardless of what stage they find themselves in. I offer a supportive and non-judgmental space to help mothers explore the intricacies of motherhood while fostering a positive and resilient mental health outlook. Together, we will address present-day challenges and stressors, look at past experiences (if appropriate), and explore the impact on your current functioning and identity as a mother.
