Child, Teen And Family Therapy

I also work with school-aged children and teens. I offer children and teens both individual play and talk therapy and family therapy sessions. These family therapy sessions can be play-based or traditional talk therapy. Play therapy is a theoretically based and developmentally appropriate approach to addressing children’s unique needs. Play therapy is often used for children because it uses play as a means for communication and expression, allowing the therapist to connect with children in a way that aligns with their natural language of play. When working with children in treatment, I use various forms of play and talk therapy to communicate with and help children resolve challenges and underlying emotional difficulties.

Issues addressed in child and family therapy:

  • Depression
  • Bullying
  • Loneliness
  • Grief and loss
  • Trauma
